Power of the Mercy of Allah - Jummah Update

Qur’an Verse

“وَرَحْمَتِي وَسِعَتْ كُلَّ شَيْءٍ"
"My mercy encompasses all things.” (Surah Al-A’raf 7:156)
Hadith
The Prophet ﷺ said: “Allah made mercy into one hundred parts. He kept ninety-nine parts with Himself and sent down one part to the earth. From that one part, creatures show mercy to one another…” (Bukhari & Muslim)
Imam’s Statement
Every one of us needs, seeks, and lives by the mercy of Allah— رَحْمَةُ اللَّهِ. It is through his mercy that we exist, that we breathe, that we are guided, forgiven, sustained, and brought back to Him after we fall again and again.
It is from His mercy that He created the universe, and from His mercy that He sent down the Qur’an, and from His mercy that He sent the Prophet ﷺ. It is from His mercy that He sustains both the believer and the disbeliever. And it is from His mercy that He forgives sins, accepts repentance, responds to du’a, removes hardship, and opens the gates of Paradise.
Things to Consider
- Make sincere tawbah.
- Forgive someone in your life so that mercy will be shown to you.
- Be merciful in your words and behaviour towards everyone.
- Remember Allah in both ease and hardships. When you’re tested, remember He has a plan. When you’re broken, remember He is the Healer. When you’re alone, remember He is near.
- Say Astaghfirullah, SubhanAllah, Alhamdulillah, and La ilaha illallah often.
- Read the Qur’an regularly. His mercy is poured through His words.
